Is the value of stoneware crocks at live auctions inflated? Here's why I think so. Recently I was @ an auction where 3 & 4 gallon crocks in fair condition were bringing around $100.00. On Ebay the same crock is only selling for around $25.00 plus shipping. People must be buying them for antique stores to pay that much money for them. My guess is, high end antique stores in larger cities must be able to get top dollar for them. I do have an interest in them for my own sales but not at those prices
